Free online trap.nz training

While you cannot catch rats and stoats if you don’t set and check your traps, another vital part of working towards a Predator Free New Zealand is recording your catch data on Trap.nz.

When everyone uses the same system a massive and useful dataset is created for the region. This allows tracking of changes over time and place. The data can show where populations are high or low, what level of trapping is effective, and where there are gaps. Even recording that you did not catch anything is useful.
